Mike Walters

Hi Everybody, my name is Mike Walters. I started this website in 2001 after getting into bending circuits, and collecting analog synthesizers. Once I began acquiring all these old instruments, and playing them live with my band, I had to learn how to repair them when they broke. A few years later, I started repairing keyboards for others, and selling custom electronic instruments. This was done on a very small scale out of a guest room of our townhouse in Carrboro, NC.

My wife and I moved to NYC in 2007. During our time there, I did some training with former Pink Floyd keyboard tech, Jeff Blenkinsopp. We moved back to NC in 2011, and then I worked with Russ Rose at Bull City Sound in Durham for about 3.5 years. From 2014 to 2022, I worked part time for Kontek Systems in Durham.

Mystery Circuits became an LLC in 2015. I work out of my home shop in Chapel Hill, and build and repair instruments for people locally, and around the country.
